Camps and excursions

The camping program is offered to students in Years 5 and 6 each year and is an integral part of our co-curriculum program. School camps help develop social skills, team work, leadership skills, conflict resolution skills and resilience for children. The annual school camp program is as follows:

·      Year 5 camp: 3 day camp to Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre. Activities include team challenge, high ropes, beach games, fishing, canoeing and circus skills. These activities are conducted by qualified staff.
·      Year 6 camp: 5 day camp to Canberra and Sydney. Students participate in a study tour of Canberra, have a day in the snow and conclude with sightseeing in Sydney.
School excursions and incursions are an excellent way to support classroom learning.  Each year level plans excursions to support class learning at different times throughout the year.  A letter is sent home prior to each event outlining excursion details, including costs.
