Swimming Club - The Virginia Dolphins

The Virginia Swim Club is a sub-committee of the Virginia State School P&C Association. At almost 60 years of age, the swim club has a proud history of providing kids an opportunity to have fun while developing their swimming skills.  Every family and child is welcome at Virginia Swim Club, regardless of the school you attend or where you live.
During season (August to May), swimmers take advantage of our Learn to swim and Squad Training from the crack of dawn until after sunset 5 days a week.

Learn to Swim

  • Starting from 3 years of age
  • Small classes
  • Qualified teaching
  • Mondays to Fridays afternoons

Squad Training

  • All levels from mini-squad through to senior-squad
  • Professional fully qualified head coach
  • Mondays to Thursdays, mornings and afternoons
  • Fees include unlimited access to sessions each week

Club Nights

Our Friday Club Nights are about participating and striving for a ‘PB’ across all levels of swimmers.  For our smallest learn to swim students that may be a 12.5 metre race assisted in the pool by the bigger kids, and our senior swimmers compete across all strokes for the longer races.  Club nights are a great sporting and social activity for the whole family and the kids love cheering and supporting all little (and not so little) feet as they get on the blocks ready to compete.

General Meetings

All Club members are welcome to attend our General meetings which are held at 7.00 pm on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise advised) in the Computer Room at Virginia State School.
