The Virginia State School Parents & Citizens (P&C) Association works very hard raising funds to provide resources to improve the learning outcomes of all students at our school. The Association aligns it goals with the Virginia State School’s School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan.
In providing the structure to enable these opportunities to be made available to students, and for parents to be involved in their child’s learning, the P&C is like any other business. We need to pay for items such as P&Cs Queensland insurance, auditors’ fees, Workcover insurance, and membership fees to provider organisations such as Australian Community Services Employers Association (ACSEA) and the ourcommunity.com.au Our Easy Grants website to operate. These operating costs can total upwards of $5,000 each year.
We request parents/caregivers to provide voluntary contributions each year to cover these operating expenses so that funds raised to provide educational opportunities for our students are not diminished.
